I will reply to you within 24-48 hours to confirm the topic and price, and give you an estimated timeframe. Once we have agreed, I will require a 20% non-refundable deposit within 24 hours to secure your slot.

I will continue to send you updates as I work on the commission. These may be questions, video snippets, screenshots etc. to ensure that I’m on the right track and you’re getting exactly what you asked for.
Once completed, you will be sent the video’s script (see here for an example) to ensure you are happy with the final product, along with an invoice for the remaining cost.
When payment is complete, you will be sent a link to download your video in HD. It will also be posted publicly to my YouTube account, where you will be credited as the commissioner.

I will accept commissions for video essays up to 1.5 hours long, on the following topics:

Literary analysis (Novels, Animes, TV shows, Movies, Manga etc.)
Character analysis, including:
- Specific aspects of specific characters (e.g. “Talk about BSD Atsushi and his trauma”)
- Non-specific aspects of specific characters (e.g. “Tell me anything about AOT Mikasa”)
- Specific aspects of broader groups of characters (e.g. “Explain how the cultivation world embodies the court of public opinion in MDZS”)
“Read-through” / “Annotate with me”

I will not accept:

Analysis of lengthy pieces of media that I have not started (anything that would require more than 10 hours of watching/reading)
Discussions that heavily focus on topics that make me uncomfortable, for example:
- Topics that overly sexualise or commodify characters or people
- Topics that are emotionally taxing (SA, queerphobia, racism, sexism, etc.)
I will accept requests to cover these topics as part of a broader analysis.
